what type filters does this coffeemaker use null

We choose to use the #4 paper cone filters rather than the reusable. They work great!

It has a gold permanent filter included so it saves money from buying paper filters but I would recommend you don't consider this coffee maker because the clean mode or cleaning process is not supported by cuisinart themselves and from many other models and users once the light comes on that's it, time for a replacement because the light will never shut off
