The instruction manual states, " If adding mix-ins to the batter, they should not be any larger than a mini chocolate chip."

No problem. I’ve added the small chocolate chips, not the regular that you find in cookies. The waffles come out great!

It can handle fillers just fine. Just make sure you buy MINI chocolate chips per manual instructions; Not regular sized chocolate chips. The regular sized chips will impede the batter flow, causing an incomplete waffle to cook.

Wouldn't recommend it. They would clog the pour spout on the waffle maker.

Buy mini chocolate chips, full size get jammed up.

Yes you can add small Chocolate chips, walnuts, blue berrys etc. please note: chocolate can get sticky on your waffle maker.

I've added chocolate chips, it isn't a problem. Just when you clean up make sure you clean between the edges because the chocolate melts sometimes on the griddle. Also make sure you don't let it get trapped at the top!

Why not? If it's mixed in the batter it should be fine

You can add anything you want but you can’t clean the plates.
