They make special generators for that purpose. Do not use this to power a garage door.

Please try again later.This is not an off-grid power supply, it will not handle cold weather and will not last for days, only minutes depending on how much power draw on it. This is only for use when you need to keep equipment powered on until you can safely turn off the equipment.
