• Depending on the wattage of the device it should work ok. Though if it's closer to the 900watt limit you'll only get a few minutes of use, but if it's lower on the usage (which I would think it can't use that much). You should have power in and outage for at least a half hour on the lower power draw side.

• Absutely yes! Just plug the UPS into a wall electrical outlet and then plug the power cord of the chair into one of the "surge/power" outlets on the back.
