Battery and Surge Protected Outlets: The unit has 6 battery powered and surge protected outlets to ensure temporary uninterrupted operation of your equipment during a power failure. (DO NOT plug a laser printer, paper shredder, copier, space heater, vacuum cleaner, sump pump, or other large electrical device into the “Battery and Surge Protected Outlets.” The power demands of these devices will overload and possibly damage the unit.)

Hello Mike, connecting any type of appliance to this UPS will void the warranty. We recommend looking into alternative options as we do not manufacture any UPSes that are compatible with a refrigerator. Im not an electrician, but you should only plug a refrigerator directly into a wall outlet designed to handle that volt/amp load.
