I have one of these that's about 4 years old and runs great. I use it to keep a wifi weather station online and to keep my pellet stove running while I go get my generator up and online. It recently kept my stove going for over a half hour and only showed a small drop in battery %. My stove does not have electric start. I have another unit (600 or 800w) that's over 10 - 12 years old. It gets a lot of short (<1min) operations under 50-70% load depending on what I'm doing. I had to replace the batteries about 5 years ago. You'll know the batteries are getting bad when the unit runs down faster and faster and faster. Don't rely on the battery test software. It said the batteries were fine way after they weren't. I will say, the near dead batteries continued to protect my electronics by swapping to battery power when needed by preventing seconds long power interruptions from shutting my stuff down or exposing them to high/low voltage swings. Buy one and replace its batteries when needed instead of tossing the thing in the trash/ocean : )
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will tell you when the battery needs to be replaced. The length in years that this will last will depend on how often it is used as a battery backup. Most likely about five years before the battery needs replacing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The life of a UPS can be affected by its in-use environment. Factors like the quality of power input, battery temperature, and the frequency of a UPS’s discharge cycles can all affect how long it lasts. Please reach out to our support team at 877-297-6937 and we'd be happy to go over these factors with you. Thank you for your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I really can't say, since I just bought it a little more than a month ago. I would say that they last 7 - 10 years. By that time you'll want to have the latest technology anyway. This UPS Backup is so much better that the one I had. It takes up less space standing upwards and it's easy to turn off the sound, if your battery dies on you. I couldn't turn off the sound on my last one when the battery had to be replaced. It drove me crazy and I had to take a Lunch break from my job and go and pick this one up. What an improvement!
