• Yes exactly, just plug it in and turn it on dont plug anything into it for 8 hours.

• Hello Bronnie, to power on the UPS you would press the power button for approximately 2 seconds. After the power on the UPS should beep and the green light should be illuminated under the power button. We recommend letting the UPS charge for eight hours before use.
