• Correct! I use it to keep the power going on my PC and TV/Internet between power going out and my generator kicking on. Works like a charm.

• If the power just flickers, there is not an interruption, but it does not provide power for extended outages. I think only about 5 mins of battery, to give you time to shut things down properly.
