“Can this be used to plug my phone into and the direct tv box if the power goes out ?”

• Yes i use it on all my Direct tv and large(65 inch) TV because our power goes on and off a lot and it gives me time to let the power settle down or time to shut the systems down NORMALLY. I have 2 ups for different Tvs

• Yes. In fact, that is why I got it. To protect my Cable box and the flat screen TV.

• Yes, that is essentially what I use it for as well. I have 2 of them. One in the garage for the fiber optic converter and another one in my house protecting my router, home wifi and VoIP phone.
