“I bought one of these several months ago works fine until o hooked up my 3 air conditioner units. Now everytime a air conditioner turns its refrigerate on to cool the house it hear a pop or click noise from this unit. Is this normal?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i would say typical. i hear popping noises from time to time just when the fridge kicks on. not so much from a/c due to having a two stage startup.

Please try again later.The User's Manual of this product states these UPSs are not designed to be used with appliances, as they often create an in-rush current at regular intervals (like when the compressor kicks in) which can be damaging the UPS, its internal battery, and the surge protecting components of the UPS. Air Conditioners are supposed to be plugged directly into the wall without any kind of adapters or surge protectors (into separate circuits if more than 1), they should have their own surge protection provided by the reset breaker on the AC unit's plug itself.
