A:AnswerA solid state drive is much faster than a typical hard drive. It has no moving parts as well, so typically should last longer than a typical hard drive. Think of it as a large internal fast fash drive. Normally the operating system is installed on it to speed up the system. This computer has a relatively small one installed.
