“My gma3600bst with ryzen 5 and rx 580 4gb has one a-data xpg 8gb ram stick in the 2nd from left of 4 slots. If I get 2 corsair vengeance 8gb sticks should I only use one and leave the original stick if so what slot should I use? Or should I use both new?”

In order to take full advantage of dual channel memory I would recommend using matching DIMMs and putting them in the 1st and 3rd slots.
