Can I use a VGA or DVI cable on the motherboard plate? null

Technically you could but you would get very poor performance in any 3D applications. The computer comes with a large sticker that shows you should connect any displays to the included video card which is HDMI or DisplayPort in order to get proper application support.

I was unable to use the hdmi port on the motherboard. I don't think it would work.
