I had the same problem and here is what solved it (from tech support): 1. Reboot PC and Press Delete to enter the BIOS 2. Select Advance Frequency settings 3. Select Core CPU Components 4. Disable all of the following: a. core performance boost b. cool and quiet c. c1e support d. svm e. core c6 state f. apm This solved my freezes and tech support assured me that these changes would not affect the performance of the PC.
