“Got this computer a week ago and it keeps crashing (monitors go black/lose connection). Drivers have been updated, cables look fine, etc. Pretty sure it has to do with the heat this thing runs at. Are there any recommendations on solving this? Fans? Case?”

Replace the power supply, I had the same issue and resolved it. Also go to the search bar at desktop and type in Event Viewer, then you'll find a Critical error that will say Kernel-Power code 41. They put in a crappy chinese power supply. Oh yeah, just add 3 120mm fans for the top of the case then your golden
