Mine was a Gigabyte z690. Others report the same. You’re guaranteed a motherboard that supports ddr5, they’ll just likely use the cheapest (or most available) motherboard available.

What they are talking about are the components they can purchase to build the computer. Example: ASUS motherboard vs MSI motherboard etc. GeForce Video Card vs PNY Video card.
