“I know that the parts that go into the PC depend on what's available at the time of purchase, but is the Standard power supply one of the available "options" for power supplies? I really don't trust those things.”

There are no options for our pre-builds available through Best Buy. They are only available with the specified components and cannot be ordered with different parts. This PC is otherwise configured with an OEM type 1000 watt 80 plus power supply.
