“We have a monitor (ViewSonic VX2035wm) w/internal speakers. Is it possible to use the monitors speakers with this system and if so is it the video or sound card that is supplying sound to the monitor? ... Inputs to monitor are dvi, d-sub and audio-in. TY”

Sound is seperate the audio in on ur monitor should be ran to you audio on the back of your tower. Video card is solely for the picture.

Please try again later.You will need to connect a separate audio cable from the PC's front speaker output jack (green) to the audio input jack on the monitor (also green colored) via a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack (male to male connectors from the PC to the monitor).
