Yes, you can ad a HDD and an SSD. It will not void the warranty as long as you don't fry anything during installation. Make sure that you are grounded to a non-painted piece of metal.

Yes you have the ability to modify/add/experiment all you want but it will most likely void the pre existing one year warranty
