If the 4TB HDD is SATAIII, you can use the extra SATAIII ports on your motherboard and just add the extra HDD instead of switching over from the 1 TB HDD. Then, you should be able to store files on the 4TB HDD as well instead of having to swap the OS back over to the 4 TB HDD from the 1 TB HDD.
