Yes, to both questions. Allot of room to work inside the tower. Upgrades should be easier with all the space between components.

Both side panels are removable. Has a total of 3 ram memory slots with 2 free to upgrade ram. Comes with SuperMulti DVD/CD burner in one device bay but has 2 device bays free for upgrading to such things as memory card readers, other DVD drives, etc. Has one PCI-e slot free directly under the graphics card, if you want to add a decent audio card or a wi-fi card. Plus has 4 empty back side bays for other devices. Has a total of 6 SATA connections with 4 free. And has COM, LPT, TPM, and 2 USB Pin sets free for upgrading.
