Thank you for reaching out to us Eldhose. The best way to purchase more RAM for the PC would be to look up the serial number on the side of the RAM online and purchase the exact same stick. It is always recommended that you have matching sticks of RAM inside your PC to avoid incompatibility issues. I brought this one https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-16gb-2pk-8gb-3ghz-pc4-24000-ddr4-dimm-unbuffered-non-ecc-desktop-memory-kit-with-rgb-lighting-black/6256222.p?skuId=6256222 I would not recommend keeping the old 8GB stick. I will actually limit your computer. Plus all the memory should be from the same lot. 16 GB should be more than enough.
