“I just bought this desktop and wanted to get another stick of RAM for dual channel. What brand of RAM do I need to purchase, or does it not matter if the two sticks of RAM have different brands? Also, which of the 4 RAM slots to use for 2nd RAM stick?”

Thank you for reaching out to us LOLO334. The best way to purchase more RAM for the PC would be to look up the serial number on the side of the RAM online and purchase the exact same stick. It is always recommended that you have matching sticks of RAM inside your PC to avoid incompatibility issues. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Each unit has different motherboards mine came with a Gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI. I went to Gigabytes website and downloaded the motherboard manual. Look at the motherboard installed in your computer the manufacturer and model number is printed on the board. Download the manual and it will tell your everything you need to know. My PC did not come with the motherboard manual.
