After getting this computer, I did a few things to upgrade it. I added another 16GB of RAM to the system (you can get a 16GB kit from T-Force for around $60 which is a great value) and I changed out the 250GB SSD for a larger 2TB one just to give my games and programs faster load times. The 3700X CPU is quite strong, so unless you are maxing out your CPU with rendering videos or stuff, you probably don't need to upgrade that any time soon. If you wanted to upgrade the graphics card, you could go up to one of the new RTX 3080 cards, but the 5700XT is a fantastic value and should do great for you. I have played most games at near max settings and even played VR a good bit on max settings with little to no issue. Hope this is helpful!
