I feel your pain. I also miss the days of printed manuals. As for your monitor, you can purchase adapters to hook up your monitor. I needed to do this as I have 2 monitors and a mixed reality headset plugged in now. They were available for puchase at my local Best Buy. I know the frustration of getting new tech and having to purchase additional hardware/software but over all I have been very happy with the purchase.

In most cases, if you are not receiving video upon initial boot-up, it can be a sign that the monitor is not plugged into the correct port.
