Q: QuestionWill this work with a "whole-house fan"? My current manual switch goes from off and then when I turn clockwise it starts on max and when I keep turning it reduces the speed.
Asked by CC.
- A:Answer Thank you for reaching out to 'Cync' with this great question. No, our Smart Fan Speed Switch is not rated for use with a 'Whole-House Fan'. Q: QuestionCan this bypass a broken chainpull fan switch (thereby avoiding purchase of a new fan), where the light switch works?
Asked by Eddo.
- A:Answer If the chain pull is broken in the always full-on position, this will almost certainly work. If the chain pull is broken in the always off or slow position, you either need a new fan or you need to replace the chain pull. For most fans, chain pull switch replacement are readily available at you local hardware store. Or you could remove the chain pull and wire the fan to be always on, if you have a bit of electrical expertise.

Q: QuestionWill this control the light and the fan separately? Could I ask Alexa to just turn on the light and not the fan and viceversa?
Asked by Mp.
- A:Answer No, it only controls the fan. There is no way to control both the fan and the fan's lighting with this switch. I had this same problem and had to return the switch because of this.
