It can if you tell it to...from the homepage click on main menu icon @ top left >> Select the main settings option titled ‘Settings’ >>select your device>>click automation>>there using drop downs is where you’ll be able to tell it to automatically start recording video ONLY when motion and/or specific level of sound is detected.
