The software allows you to choose an area(s) of interest to examine for movement. You may not want all areas that the camera sees to trigger a motion alert. You can then set the sensitivity of the alert, so that you don't get false alerts from, for example, the air conditioning kicking on and moving curtains.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To enable motion recording you must go into settings, device, select automation, and then create a motion activated automation. You must also enable motion detection on the camera settings. It is a pain to figure this out. I have not figured out if there is a web interface for the camera settings. One of the worst cameras that I have used and only able to access through the MyDlink mobile app.
