The app allows you to use your phone or tablet to see the camera video at any time and you can play the live video and watch in real time. There is no time out on this camera, so theoretically it is able to stream 24 hours a day. You view the camera via a phone app over wifi, so this would depend on the ability of your phone/tablet to do so as well. It plugs into the wall, so it would also depend on an energy source as it is not battery operated. Plus, I do not have knowledge as to if this is actually good for the camera or not . . . but theoretically, it has the "ability" to do so.
