• Yes, but keep in mind that the 5Ghz range is much smaller than the 2.4Ghz range. This camera works well, but can be finicky with regard to the wifi connection. I would've liked to use the 5Ghz band, but its much more stable on the 2.4.

• It does. However, I have noticed over weeks of testing that the 5Ghz band is significantly weaker in signal. I was dropping connections multiple times an hour while on 5Ghz (served from a Netgear Nighthawk - so a very good router). Once I switched over to my 2.4Ghz, I have been stable and running consistently for 3 weeks now.
