• No it doesn't require a network cable, but it does have to be plugged into an electrical source.

• Totally wireless. Most of the competitive products are totally wireless. Normally the package security systems (Lorex, Swann, etc.) have cameras that need power and need wiring to main DVR.

• No. The only wire connected to the camera is the power cord. It transmits via wifi.
