You will need to format the SD cards by going to the camera's settings in your web browser. To do this, click on the "Setup" tab and then "SD Management". You can also refer to page 43 of the user manual found on www.support.dlink.com.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mydlink camera has the format memory card function built into the app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have attached a photo of the mini SD card and adapter type (the latter necessary to access the device or to view the saved images, on a PC) I am using on my Dlink camera, which is set to record continuously. I used my PC to format the mini SD card BEFORE inserting it into my camera, using Windows 10; just a matter of right-clicking the device, and choosing a full-format (on Windows 10 that means making sure the Quick Format is NOT checked.) The process can take hours depending on the capacity of your device. Through the camera's Advanced Settings, which Dlink support helped me find using Internet Explorer (not Chrome browser) on my PC, I learned the camera has a format function, which I clicked on, with my mini SD card already inserted and already fully formatted, and the camera format took only a few minutes and the mini SD card does everything I want. One thing I found is do not delete only certain files from your mini SD card set up by the camera, when in your PC, as it seems to create problems for the camera's system; the camera will automatically record over the oldest files when the mini SD card is full. To clean the mini SD card of files use the format function. But the camera seems to have no problem with it being unplugged from a power source, and starting a new file with the correct date when re-connected to its power source (the camera has no on/off switch.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a mention of it in the Dlink appl where you go to check the "record" on SD card, it will ask you to format.
I would recommend:
