The D-Link camera I am using is a DCS-5030 and it has a web server running on port 80. You can run an app on your laptop such as Blue Iris. Connect the software to your camera's ip address and port 80. Let the Blue Iris software do the recording on your laptop and you can review the recordings at your leisure until you run out of hard drive space. :-) BTW, the camera has multiple live streams. I use the h264.raw stream and can even view the live stream on the TV or any other device in the house that has a compatible browser. If you have multiple camera's in the house you can choke your 2.4 Ghz router. Therefore, if any of the camera's are where you can use the Ethernet connection, do so.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need to have a memory card in the camera for it to record on, then you should be able to view the recordings on the devices you have.
