I was skeptical about the name brand but it actually works better than all of the name brand air conditioners I've owned in the past. A small 5,000 btu has cooled down my living room, dining room and kitchen and I mean cool because I left some McDonald's sodas on the dining room table and the ice did not melt and the drinks were as if I just took them out of the refrigerator. Trust me on this.
