• Hello Susie, This unit was created to be free standing with the following spacing: Allow 12.7 cm (5 inches) of space between the back of the appliance and the wall. Allow 5 cm (2 inches) between the sides and top of the appliance and any walls or counter tops. Operation of the unit is at its peak if these guidelines are followed. Kind regards, Blaire
