Please try again later.A gallon of milk will force the shelving to be removed so you will have limited room however there is a section on the door that will hold a larger item and up to 8 cans. As far as decibel level, I have a ceiling fan and a small fan on the floor to distribute the AC from the only vent in my bedroom, between those two and the Danby the level was 52db. When I shut off the small fan, it dropped to 48db total.
