A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Danby DCR044A4BBSL e is equipped with a semi-automatic defrost system. If you press the red button, it will activate the defrost cycle and will disable the refrigerator function until the temperature surrounding the evaporator inside the appliance reaches approximately 10°C (50°F). The refrigerator will automatically resume normal functioning once the defrost cycle is complete. The complete defrosting cycle process is available from the owner's manual for your reference.
Thank you.

A:AnswerHi Nick,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Danby DCR044A4BBSL is not recommended connecting it to a surge protector, not tested for such connection. The compressor is sensitive to temperature and current overloads, and will shut itself down with a surge. A surge protector will override this system, and if there is a power surge, your refrigerator may not restart. Thank you.

Jerlyn
A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your inquiry
Danby DCR044A4BBSL has a thermostat knob for temperature selection. The thicker, darker side of the dial is the coldest setting. The thinner, lighter side of the dial is the warmest setting. To stop the cooling function, turn the control knob to the “0” position.
Thank you.

Jerlyn
A:AnswerGood Afternoon, Thank you for your question. We don't recommend installing it on a carpet, please use the floor with 5 inches of ventilation space all around.

Thank you for your question. This model is a free standing design and building it into a cabinet or countertop can void the warranty.

A:AnswerHello Concerned,
As required by California Law, any unit that contains any of the over 900 chemicals that are on the Prop 65 listing must have a Warning Label. Danby does not have a 4.4 cu.ft. mini fridge without the label. For more information you may visit here: https://www.danby.com/blog/what-is-prop-65-and-why-is-it-on-my-danby-packaging/
Kind regards,

A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. These models are described as manual defrost or partial automatic defrost. The fresh food compartment defrosts automatically every time the refrigerator turns off. The freezer will need to be manually defrosted when the frost or ice in the freezer is 1/4" thick. For more information on DEFROSTING INSTRUCTIONS, please visit our web page/owner's manual: https://www.danby.com/products/compact-refrigerators/dcr044a4bbsl/

Earl
