• A:Answer Hi Nick, Thank you for your inquiry. Danby DCR044A4BBSL is not recommended connecting it to a surge protector, not tested for such connection. The compressor is sensitive to temperature and current overloads, and will shut itself down with a surge. A surge protector will override this system, and if there is a power surge, your refrigerator may not restart. Thank you. Regards, Jerlyn

• A:Answer Hi, Thank you for your inquiry Danby DCR044A4BBSL has a thermostat knob for temperature selection. The thicker, darker side of the dial is the coldest setting.
