QuestionWhy couldn't geek squad recover my data from my laptop that had a failed hard drive, but would start. From all I read, this is NOT supposed to be difficult, yet they handed me back my disassembled laptop the next week and claimed they could not.

- Answer I'll explain what happened to me and maybe that might help. I spilled water on my laptop. My local Geek Squad sent my laptop out to their main computer repair in Kentucky for repairs. After 30 days they couldn't fix it and sent it back with the two hard drives removed. All I had to pay then was shipping. I don't know what information was on either hard drive but retrieving the data on largest of the hard drive was free because I had Total Tech Support. I had to supply an external hard drive for them to transfer the data to and when the hard drive came back the local Geek Squad transferred the data into my new laptop. I hope this sheds some light on your predictament. Jim

QuestionI went to log on, and my screen only had a few thumbnails. Microsoft had done an update. All my files are missing. There are no folders to look in. Is data recovery possible and approximately how much will it cost?

QuestionI formatted my SD card and can't recover videos only images. Everywhere I look it says it's impossible for video is it possible? And my friend said he recorded 10 videos and thinks I deleted them but when I went to recover them only 1 video showed not 10.

QuestionI dropped my iphone and the screen broke and it started doing random stuff. Now it says iphone unavailable. I know my password and apple ID and everything. It hasnt been backup is there any way to recover the data off it and put it on a new phone.

- Answer 1. Check your account if auto back-up was in force. 2. Swap Sim card to new phone and try to re-establish system you previously had. I am no tech guy but that is my first kind answer then you guess using the "SWAG" method.
