“Does the system need WiFi to work or only for live viewing?”

• Great question DJ! Our wireless cameras do not need a Wi-Fi connection to record or connect to the DVR. If you wish to add the DVR to your network for smartphone viewing, it will need to be connected to your router with an Ethernet cable no longer than 30 feet.
