• Hi Goose, thank you for your inquiry and interest in Defender! This unit utilizes a 1TD HDD with a SATA connection. With respect to the temperature, the cameras have only been tested to 14 F, functionality at temperatures lower than may have an impact and may cause them to stop functioning until they warm back up. Please note that the temperature rating is based off of actual air temperature, wind chill will not affect this.
