“Is a PC and WiFi necessary for setup and operation? This is being installed at my parents house and they do not currently have WiFi I have a monitor to connect to the dvr for viewing. I feel certain that WiFi would be necessary for remote monitoring.”

• Great question DanRad. For any kind of remote viewing, an internet connection would be required. It would not require a wireless WiFi connection however. The DVR needs to be connected to a router for online viewing For standard on site viewing, the DVR can be connected to a TV using an HDMI or VGA connection.
