• Hello Brose, thanks for the question. The PhoenixM2 is a portable unit but it does require a power outlet to operate. The PhoenixM2 does not have any external video outputs, it records all footage to a SD card. It may not be ideal for use in a car. Defender Support

• There are no video outputs on the cameras, they are designed to communicate wirelessly by pairing with the included monitor. The only connections on the camera are for the antenna and the AC cord. I suppose you can plug the monitor in your car if you have an inverter for the AC adapter.
