“1 Is there a battery powered back up should the power go off? 2 can it detect and record through a window? I would like to mount it indoors pointing at the door which has a big window.......this is a covered entry way, so there would be no sun glare.”

Hello Linda, Thank you for your questions. Should you lose power, the cameras would not be actively recording. Once the power returns however, your unit`s settings will have remained as you have selected and will be ready for recording again. Motion detection may not function as intended if using the camera to view out of a window and it would not be recommended.
