“If the monitor records for 6 hours straight and uses up all the memory on the 8 gigabyte card, does the monitor then record over the older pre - recorded data? if only motion detected mode is used on camera, how many more days will it work?”

Hello Conrad, thanks for the great question. As long as the system is set to automatic overwrite it will record over the oldest footage first once the SD card is full. When recording in motion only the estimated time is hard to determine as it will be dependent on the amount of motion that is detected from the camera, to ensure that you are protected when you need it most you can add an SD card up to 128GB! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The camera will only record when something pass in front of it. I have a 32gb sd card in mine. I check end of month then I put the sd card in my computer, view it then I delete all. Put it back in monitor . Always do a record check to make sure it will record. Or press record again. Hope this will help
