Most likely; yes. You could turn the bass down (there's a control knob on the back panel), but then why get them in the first place? Definitive makes several smaller models. I have an older set that are the equivalent of the BP9040s in my home gym, and the bass is almost overpowering. - Shelby
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.10' x 22' here..... No problem and awesome sound.....you can tailor it as you like and cut back on bass if needed. Go BIG or go home. :-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely not. My room is only 15 foot by 19 foot and it fills the room perfectly in every way
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never enough power for me so no is my answer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No of course not. Might need to lower volume a little that's all. When is there ever too much power? Never!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My room is 15x15. I run two BP9080x's and a SC9040 in front, plus a pair of SR9040's for side (I view from couch on back wall and 55" tv on front). I use a Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 receiver, and use the microphone and internal software which came with the receiver to run the room-optimizing sound configuration. From there, it's then possible to spend the rest of your life tweaking your sound profile settings if you wish (some do). My set up can easily be heard and felt by my neighbors when they are in their house, watching their tv, with windows and doors closed. Granted, their house is only 50 feet from my speakers and separated by only two walls, but I'm not even really dialed past "5" on the volume. In short, if you have friends over to watch a movie, they will be laughing at how much sound, and how much of a tactile experience, these speakers produce. So, is that too much speaker? Probably. But the genie's out of the bottle, and he's not going back in!
