Does this 3-way center take the place of a sub? null

When I bought it, I commented about "sub" since that was in the speaker name. The sales person advised it was not a sub. It does have deep tones, so you might try it as a sub. I hope this helps.

No, it does not take the place of a sub. It’s a nice addition to have the center channel with a sub inside it and run speaker cable and LFU cable as well at the same time. If you don’t care about too much base, you might be able to get away with it but if you want a 5.1 home theater system you need to have a sub, there’s really no getting around it. This thing is only an 8 inch sub with 150 W amp so it’s not gonna get very low but it’s definitely nice to have.
