Your video card supports a max resolution of 2560x1600. You cannot run 4K with your video card. Your processor should have little effect if you upgrade to a newer generation video card. I'd strongly recommend staying at the 1080p range. To enjoy the 4k experience, you would need a faster processor and video card (basically an entirely new system) 4K in gaming can be very taxing on the components...not many games support 4k currently as well. If you just need screen/desktop space for internet surfing, music and office type applications, just upgrading the video card will help. Look for a 1440p monitor if your just looking for a monitor upgrade. Ive added some monitors below for consideration for gaming.
