• I suggest using the Geek Squad protection vs the normal warranty. I normally never buy warranties but Geek Squad has proven it's worth to me multiple times (primarily with my mouse and gaming headphones)

• I don't know about the manufacturers warranty but i got the 4year geek squad protection for $50.00 and i think its worth it for the price of the monitor, you can never be to safe on your investments.
