“How does this monitor with part number :S2716DGR differ from this one :S2716DG? I'm comparing the two and they have the exact same specs but one is 700 bucks and the other 350.”

These two are the same one. R means retailer. Best buy has a black friday deal for this. So it is only 350.

I learned that there is no difference as apparently one model number is used for online purchases and the other for purchases made from local stores. I don't know if this answer is valid, however.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SD2716DGR is the one sold at retailers. SD2716DG is the one directly from Dell. They’re the exact same monitor, reason for the part number difference may be to track sales for both. Note: The R version was originally $700.
